For educators

Teach with the Hub

The catalog is open to educators, researchers, and practitioners working on climate and sustainability across Africa. Bring a course, and the Hub will publish it.

What a proposal needs

Courses are published in a fixed structure, so a proposal is mostly a matter of filling that structure in. Send these six things.

01

Title and description

What the course is, in a sentence, and a paragraph on what it covers.

02

Who it is for

The learners you have in mind, and the level: introductory, intermediate, or advanced.

03

Learning outcomes

Four to six things a learner will be able to do that they could not do before.

04

Module and lesson outline

Modules, and the lessons inside each one, with a type for every lesson: reading, video, quiz, discussion, assignment, or project.

05

Sources

What the material is built on. Every factual claim in a Hub course is expected to trace to a real, citable source.

06

About you

Your name, role, and organisation, plus a short biography and a link, for the instructor panel on the course page.

How publishing works

Structure first, content second

A course is published as soon as its syllabus is agreed, marked as coming soon, so learners can see what it will cover. Lessons open as they are written, rather than everything waiting on the last one.

Review before release

Course material goes through the same factual review as everything else the Hub publishes. Claims are checked against their sources before a lesson opens.

Your name stays on it

Instructors are credited on the course page, with a biography and a link. The Hub publishes and hosts the course; it does not take authorship of it.

Free to learners

Courses in the catalog are free to take. If you need a paid or assessed cohort, say so in the proposal and it can be discussed separately.

Proposals are handled by message for now. Send yours through the Hub's LinkedIn page and it will be picked up from there. A proper submission form is planned for when the Hub has learner and instructor accounts.
